Brighton & Hove Albion vs Fulham Match Prediction

By Bharath Ramm R

Brighton step into the game after slipping to a narrow 1-0 loss against Liverpool during the weekend. Mohamed Salah came up with the only goal against Chris Hughton’s men, who did have the chances in the 90 minutes. Brighton went on to lose by the same score against Southampton in the League Cup. Fulham picked up their first win of the season in impressive fashion after beating Burnley 4-2 at Craven Cottage. A remarkable first-half witnessed Fulham take the edge through goals from Jean Michael Seri and Aleksandar Mitrovic (2). Jeffrey Hendrick and James Tarkowski had kept Burnley in the game. However, a late goal from Andre Schurrle led to a comfortable Fulham win. Slavisa Jokanovic’s men went on to beat Exeter City in the midweek League Cup.

Here we have our SBAT match preview with all the best predictions, betting tips and match stats.

Betting Tips and Predictions

Brighton have looked unimpressive in games against teams expected to be in and around them in the table. Chris Hughton may struggle to pick up his players ahead of this match, while the same does not apply for Fulham, who have great ambitions for the campaign. Despite the table placing Brighton and Fulham on the same points, there is a huge gulf in quality between the two clubs – thanks to the huge investment made by the latter in the summer. I would go with a win for Fulham.

The attacking strength of Fulham does look impressive with Aleksandar Mitrovic being able to display a multifaceted nature to his game. The forward is not just a player to hold the ball up the season, as he has been trying to contribute on a number of ways. This is expected to help Fulham score more than 1.5 goals.

Brighton & Hove Albion Preview

Chris Hughton’s men have been quite indifferent so far in the campaign. While the team came in with poor performances against Watford and Southampton, they were able to raise the game against top opponents like Manchester United and Liverpool – even if the game against Liverpool finished as a defeat for the seagulls. The season may take a familiar path with the club struggling against the threat of relegation come the end of the campaign. Apart from scoring against United, Brighton have been unable to get goals in any of the competitive matches.

Brighton & Hove Albion Team News

Richard Towell (back), Lewis Dunk (ankle), Florin Andone (groin), Bruno Saltor (hamstring), José Izquierdo (knee), and Soufyan Ahannach (leg) are unavailable for Brighton.

Fulham Preview

The huge amount of investment made by Fulham during the summer appears to be paying off with the club looking rather impressive in the last few matches. Even when the team lost the London derbies against Crystal Palace and Tottenham, a case could be made for the cottagers. Fulham look impressive going forward and this is likely to help them overcome any defensive issues that they may encounter over the course of the campaign. Aleksandar Mitrovic is on course to establishing himself as a big threat in the Premier League and he is already up to three goals for the campaign.

Fulham Team News

Floyd Ayite (knock), Tom Cairney (ankle), Tim Ream (thigh), and Neeskens Kebano (ankle) are unavailable due to injuries.
