Bologna vs Lazio Match Prediction

By William Hall

Two of the sides more inform sides go head to head this Wednesday as Bologna welcome Lazio to Stadio Renato Dall'Ara. Bologna come into this one off the back of their first defeat in five games having won three and drawn one of their last five games. Lazio have been outstanding losing just one game in their previous 17 games. They will take some beating this week, but with the form Bologna are in, they will fancy themselves to get the win. Read on for a full match preview complete with all our best predictions, betting tips and match stats.

Betting Tips and Predictions

Although Bologna have been outstanding over the recent weeks, Lazio have been impressive over a longer time and will go into this one expecting nothing less than the three points. With Immobile on the form of his life, the Bologna defence will be at the top of their game to stop them scoring because if they get an early goal this week, they could go and get loads. Over the past few seasons, Lazio have had the better of this fixture and beat Bologna 2-0 in this exact fixture last season. For me, Lazio will go and hit a few past Bologna this weekend even though they have done well lately.

Bologna Preview

Bologna have been very good of late. Since the draw with Inter Milan a month ago Bologna flourished winning three of their last four games. Although they lost last time out away to Atalanta, they will fancy themselves to get back to winning ways this weekend. When this side win games, it never tends to be by many goals. In fact, in all three of those recent wins, they have seen two 1-0 wins and a 2-1 victory. A lack of goals is stopping Bologna pushing on further, but if they can keep getting the wins, they will have no trouble having a successful season.

Bologna Team News

Bologna look as if they will have four players out this weekend with Cheick Keita (groin injury), Vasilios Totosidis (muscle injury), Saphir Sliti Taider (thigh injury) and Geancarlo Gonzalez (suspension).

Lazio Preview

Lazio have been close to unstoppable in recent months, winning all of their last six games and losing just once in their previous 17 games in all competitions. Someone who has to take massive credit for the success is Italian forward Immobile. The diminutive striker has scored a fantastic thirteen goals in only nine matches which has made him Serie A's top goalscorer. With the side just three points off the top of the table, they will still fancy their chances to challenge the best teams in the league this season. With 24 goals already for the away team this weekend, Bologna will need to be on the top of their game to stop them.

Lazio Team News

Lazio have five players out this weekend with Felipe Anderson (groin injury), Jordan Lukaku (thigh injury), Wallace (calf injury), Federico Marchetti (sprained knee injury) and Dusan Basta (thigh injury) all sidelined.
