Atalanta vs Hellas Verona Match Prediction

By William Hall

Atalanta welcome Hellas Verona to the Stadio Atletti Azzurri d'Italia this week in Serie A. Atalanta haven't been in the best form of late, winning just two games in their last five outings. Hellas Verona have been struggling and find themselves right down near the bottom of the table. A win over Benevento a couple of weeks ago helped them slightly but a defeat to Chievo last time out would have knocked the confidence once again. Read on for a full match preview complete with all our best predictions, betting tips and match stats.

Betting Tips and Predictions

Although Atalanta haven't been in the form, they would have liked, looking at this game they have by far the better team and should go on to win this game comfortably. Hellas Verona have won two of the last three meetings between these two teams with the other match ending a draw which suggests Verona are a bit of a bogey team for Atalanta. However, Atalanta will want a reaction this weekend, and I'll think they get it and go on to win this one well. At home, Atalanta haven't lost in four games winning three and drawing one. I can see them extending that form this week.

Atalanta Preview

As mentioned, Atalanta haven't been on the best form of lately winning just two in their last five games and one in their last four. This has seen them slip down the table to 12th which is a disappointing start for a side like Atalanta. It's not been a lack of goals which has hurt the team having scored 14 already; it has been the amount they has conceded which is making Atalanta struggle with 13 hit the back of their net already. They do come into this one off the back of a win which would put the confidence on their side but a lack of consistency so far this season could hurt them again this week.

Atalanta Team News

Atalanta have two players out this weekend with Rafael Roloi (thigh injury) and Joao Urbano (meniscus injury) sidelined.

Hellas Verona Preview

Hellas Verona have had a shocking start to the season winning just one game which came against Benevento who are right at the bottom of the table yet to pick up a point. Going into this game, they lost 3-2 away to Chievo which would have taken a hit on the confidence of the players after going through the high of their first win of the season the week before. Having already conceded 19 goals in just nine games, you can see where the real problem lays for the away team this weekend. Pazzini is looking the only bright spark on the side with three goals, bar that no one has broken the one goal tally.

Hellas Verona Team News

Hellas Verona have six players who will miss the trip to Atalanta with Nicolo Cherubin (hand injury), Alex Ferrari (leg injury), Marce Buchel (shoulder injury), Martin Caceres (unknown), Matteo Bianchetti (spinal injury) and Bruno Zuculini (suspension).
