AFC Bournemouth vs Everton Match Prediction

By Marius Hrebenciuc

Bournemouth are still looking to end their abysmal run of form in the Premier League when they welcome Everton at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Bournemouth fought back from one-goal down twice to secure a 3-3 home draw against West Ham on Tuesday thanks to goals from Dan Gosling, Nathan Ake and Callum Wilson. Meanwhile, Everton were held to a nil-nil away draw by the lowly West Brom. Below we have our betting tips, predictions, team news, match stats and odds all in our SBAT preview. Betting Predictions and Tips

Although Bournemouth have been a bit better on home soil throughout this campaign, they have still conceded plenty of goals of late. We fancy goals at both ends of the field here, but we think that Everton are more than capable to secure at least one point from this trip.

AFC Bournemouth Preview

Bournemouth drew 3-3 at home against West Ham on Tuesday to extend their winless streak across all competitions to nine games. Their most recent win in the Premier League was a 4-0 home triumph against Huddersfield Town back in the middle of November. Their leaky defence have been the main reason for their recent struggle, as they have conceded at least two goals in each of their last four competitive fixtures. Actually, the Cherries hold one of the worst defensive records in the division with 31 goals conceded in 20 rounds. They currently lie 18th in the Premier League table with 17 points to their name after 20 league games, just one point behind safety. The good news is that Bournemouth looked a bit better at the Vitality Stadium this season, having lost just three of their last ten home games across all competitions. In addition, the Cherries managed to beat Everton 1-0 in their most recent home meeting with the Toffees. Callum Wilson has been the standout player for Bournemouth so far this season, as he is leading the club’s goalscoring charts with four goals under his belt.

AFC Bournemouth Team News

Harry Arter, Rhoys Wiggins, Brad Smith and Charlie Daniels are all doubts, but Jermain Defoe, Junior Stanislas and Tyrone Mings are still missing through injury.

Everton Preview

Everton, on the other hand, drew nil-nil on the road at West Brom in midweek, but they still are undefeated in eight competitive fixtures at the moment. The Toffees haven’t been spectacular going forward of late, but they looked incredibly strong at the back in this term. Allardyce’s men have only conceded two goals in their last eight games across all competitions. They find themselves 9th in standings tied on 27 points with the 8th-placed Leicester, ten points behind the top five. Away from home, Everton have won two and drawn two of their last four competitive games and have only conceded one goal in the process. Head-to-head, the Toffees have won four of their last five meetings with Bournemouth across all competitions, scoring at least two goals in each of these. However, they have struggled a bit on their visits to the Vitality Stadium, having won just one of their three trips. Everton’s top scorer Wayne Rooney is still missing through injury, but Oumar Niasse is back from injury and he will be the man to watch here. The 27-year-old striker managed to score five goals in the Premier League before he got injured a month ago.

Everton Team News

Maarten Stekelenburg, Leighton Baines and Wayne Rooney are all doubts, while Idrissa Gana Gueye and Ramiro Funes Mori are both missing through injury. However, Ross Barkley, James McCarthy and Seamus Coleman are all back in training.
