AFC Bournemouth vs Everton Match Prediction

By Bharath Ramm R

Bournemouth made it back-to-back wins to start a Premier League campaign as they beat West Ham 2-1 at the London stadium. Even though the hosts took the lead after the 33rd minute through a penalty from Marko Arnautovic, Bournemouth were always in the game and equalised through Callum Wilson in the 60th minute. Steve Cook put the Cherries ahead after six minutes. Everton picked up a first win of the campaign by beating Southampton 2-1 at Goodison Park. Theo Walcott and Richarlison scored in the first half to provide Marco Silva with little work at the break, but Southampton threatened to comeback after Danny Ings pulled one goal back.

Here we have our SBAT match preview with all the best predictions, betting tips and match stats.

Betting Tips and Predictions

Everton have never been able to get a league victory over the Bournemouth on the road. All of their victories over the Cherries have been at Goodison Park or at neutral grounds. After winning back-to-back league matches, Bournemouth are on a high coming into this game. Despite winning against Southampton, Everton are far from convincing and they are taking up on a Bournemouth team that has looked confident. I would back a win for Bournemouth.

Bournemouth have been able to get goals in each of the last five meetings with Everton. The team has looked extremely good at going forward and it is not a surprise to see them get two goals in each of the last two league outings. I would pick over 1.5 goals from the hosts.

AFC Bournemouth Preview

Bournemouth have created a major impression in the first two games of the 2018-19 campaign. The club were expected to undergo a difficult season, but Eddie Howe, who is the youngest manager in the Premier League as of now, has been able to steer the club in the right direction. Bournemouth still try to play good football and the club can now look forward to a three games at the Vitality Stadium in the next four matches. Wilson is emerging as the form player for Bournemouth in this early part of the campaign, as he has scored in both games for the club.

AFC Bournemouth Team News

Kyle Taylor (muscle) and Junior Stanislas (knee) are unavailable due to injuries. Diego Rico is suspended for the match.

Everton Preview

Marco Silva was delighted to get his first victory as an Everton manager. Yet, the match against Southampton highlighted that Everton still need plenty of work since they are far from perfect. The blues will be delighted with the way Richarlison has been performing in the opening few weeks. Even though Everton recently admitted that the £50 million transfer fee was a little excessive for the former Watford star, he has already come up with three goals in his two appearances for Everton. Theo Walcott is also off the mark for the campaign after scoring the opener against Southampton.

Everton Team News

Silva will be without Phil Jagielka due to suspension. Morgan Schneiderlin (thigh), Andre Gomes (hamstring), Yerry Mina (foot), Yannick Bolasie (stomach), and Beni Baningime (ankle) are missing from action due to injuries.
