Both of these sides have been playing well of late, though neither were able to pick up a victory at the weekend. I’m not expecting either team to win here, either; score draw.

AFC Bournemouth Preview

Bournemouth moved their recent record to just one defeat in six on Saturday afternoon, as the Cherries drew 0-0 with struggling Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium. In what was a tense atmosphere at the Liberty Stadium, Eddie Howe’s men created chances though they were fortunate to see efforts from Wilfried Bony and Leroy Fer fail to hit the back of the net. Summer signings Nathan Ake and Asmir Begovic showed their worth throughout and why the club paid such a sizeable investment to bring the pair in from Chelsea. As such, Bournemouth have now kept three clean sheets on the bounce in the Premier League, taking seven points from a possible nine in their last three fixtures. That form has seen them rise to 13th in the Premier League table, though the congested nature of the pack in the bottom half means they are just four points above the bottom three and two points below 9th-placed Brighton. Having started the season losing four in a row, concerns over where the Cherries could finish this term were beginning to creep in, though their response to that difficult start has been admirable. One aspect they will now be looking to improve is their home form, after winning just two of their first six games at the Vitality Stadium - though two of them have come against Manchester City and Chelsea.

AFC Bournemouth Team News

Jermain Defoe (calf) could return for Bournemouth, but Adam Federici (knee), Tyrone Mings (back) and Junior Stanislas (groin) are ruled out.

Burnley Preview

They say lightning doesn’t strike twice, but Burnley found reason to believe that proverb is false after conceding in stoppage time to fall to a 1-0 defeat at home to Arsenal for the second year running. After a competitive clash, defender James Tarkowski was the unfortunate man to give Arsenal the opportunity from the penalty spot after being penalised for a push on Aaron Ramsey. Alexis Sanchez made no mistake with the 92nd minute penalty as Burnley were condemned to their first defeat in four matches in agonising fashion. A win for Sean Dyche’s men would’ve taken them above Arsenal in the table, as well as bot Liverpool and Tottenham and into the top four, proving themselves to be the season’s surprise package so far. They, along with Watford, have been able to keep pace with the top six so far, creating a gap between themselves and teams 9th or below at this moment in time. One of the main reasons for that fact has been Burnley’s ability to secure points away from home this season, having lost just one of their six games away from home so far despite only facing teams who all finished in the top eight of the Premier League last term, with Bournemouth being their first away trip to a previously non-top eight team.

Burnley Team News

Jonathan Walters (knee) has returned to training but this game should come too early for his return. Tom Heaton (dislocated shoulder) remains absent.
