The defending champions, Germany, will look to become the first country since Brazil in 1962 to win back-to-back World Cup titles. The Germans are always one of the favourites for every tournament that they participate and it has to be said that they haven’t exited an International tournament before the Semi-final stage. They are joined in this Group F by Sweden, Mexico and South Korea. Feel free to check our World Cup 2018 betting preview, where you can find the best odds available, outright winner tips, free bets, enhanced odds and new customer offers.

Germany Betting Odds

Germany looked amazing in Brazil four years ago, but there are very few players left from that winning squad. Several legendary players in the shape of Phillip Lahm, Lukas Podolski, Miroslav Klose and Bastian Schweinsteiger have all retired from International football, but the Germans still looked amazing throughout the qualification process for the World Cup 2018. They have won each of their 10 qualifying games, having scored 43 goals in the process. Joachim Low will once again struggle to select the side, as Germany have a vast amount of talented players. It’s hard to specify three key players for Germany as they probably can build two world-class squads at the moment. Thomas Muller, Toni Kroos, Mesut Ozil, Jerome Boateng, Mats Hummels are just a few, but we also need to remember the youngsters Timo Werner, Sandro Wagner, Leon Goretzka etc. With such a talented squad, only a miracle can’t prevent Germany to win this group.

Mexico betting tips and odds

Mexico are one of the most successful sides in America, having won the CONCACAF Cup on ten occasions. Unfortunately, they have never had any success at the World Cup despite the fact they had some excellent players over the past decade. They have qualified for this tournament without losing a single game in the qualifying and have only conceded a single goal in this term. They should feel confident ahead of this tournament, as the Mexicans have progressed past the group stage of every World Cup that they have been involved since 1986. Mexico’s key player is Javier Hernandez, alias Chicharito, who is just two goals away to become the nation’s all time goal scorer at the World Cup finals. Jesus Corona has also impressed throughout the qualification process, having netted three goals. Mexico and Sweden will battle for the 2nd place in this group, and after Sweden’s recent performance, we don’t think that the Mexicans will qualify further in the competition.

South Korea odds and chances

South Korea are the outsiders of this group, despite the fact they looked decent throughout their qualification process. The Asians finished second in their qualifying group behind Iran and we all remember their 2002 World Cup performance when they finished 4th. South Korea boast a couple of Premier League players in their side in the shape of Heung-Min Son of Tottenham, Ki Sung-yueng of Swansea and Lee Chung-yong of Crystal Palace. Son have been in great shape for Tottenham this season, having netted eleven goals so far. The negative fact is that he only managed one goal in the World Cup qualification process.

Sweden odds and tips

Meanwhile, Sweden have produced the surprise in the play-offs as they have eliminated Italy without their superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who decided to retire from International football. Furthermore, Sweden were the only team to beat France in qualifying, with Ola Toivonen scoring a 94th minute winner. Sweden have also boast some decent players nowadays, including Marcus Berg, Emil Forbserg, Victor Lindelof and Ola Toivonen. Forsberg will definitely play a pivotal role in Sweden’s performance in Russia as he has been in incredible shape in Bundesliga over the past few years. Sweden looked solid in both qualifying and play-offs and we fancy them finish second in this group.
