One name has emerged as a front runner for the West Brom managerial vacancy in the past few days and that is Slavan Bilic. The former West Ham man has been for talks with The Baggies, mainly because the club were impressed with him when managing at West Ham not too long ago. Since then, Bilic has more recently been in Saudi Arabia, but is looking to get back into management somewhere more prominent.

He also has good international experience, after managing Croatia for six years and taking them to a quarter final at the Euro 2008 competition. Bilic looks as though he would ideally fit what West Brom are looking for. They are aiming for promotion this season, and would love a big name to take them forward and show everyone that they are there to compete this coming season.

After losing out in the playoffs to Aston Villa in the semi finals, West Brom will not want to suffer heartbreak again. This coming season is a big one for them, and it is vital they get the right man in charge. The guess is that they will go for a big named, experienced coach, and Slaven Bilic certainly fits that perfectly.

West Brom are among the favourites for promotion to the Premier League, which should come as no surprise. They are priced up at 3/1 to get promotion to the Premier League by any means, while they are available at 10/1 to finish top of the Championship table.
