At the start of this season, QPR fans would have been excused for worrying about where their team was heading under Steve McClaren, but since then we have seen a huge turnaround at the club, and one that has seen them move forward and go from strength to strength. We've got huge stories in the Championship both at the top and at the bottom, and in the excitement of all that, many will have missed just what QPR have done in recent weeks.

They are now up in 10th position, just two points off the playoffs and that is thanks to a fantastic run, which recently has seen them win four of their last five games. The turnaround has been impressive, and the next question to ask is how far can this QPR team go? If things go their way after the international break, they would find themselves in the playoffs after the first weekend of action, they are that close.

Breaking into the playoffs won't be easy for QPR, there are many teams clustered together very tightly in that area of the table. 10 points separate Leeds in 3rd position and Sheffield Wednesday in 17th, a run of victories or defeats together can have a huge impact on where you stand in the league. QPR know this having moved up at a rapid rate, and the feeling is that they are not done yet. They have played well, beaten some good teams, and now they will look to kick on once more when returning after the international break.

While QPR have been on a great run, the odds from the bookmakers suggest that there is a lot of work still left for them to do. They are priced up at 16/1 to be promoted to the Premier League this season, which still makes them relative outsiders for that. After the international break the best thing they can do is take it one game at a time and try to maintain their great recent form. They return with a game against Stoke away from home, and they are priced up at 3/1 to win that game, with their hosts priced up as the odds on 19/20 favourites.
