Lucas Moura has been named the Premier League player of the month for August after a fantastic start to the season with Tottenham. He has scored three goals in his opening four games and shown that he is yet another attacking option in this Tottenham team. After being signed in January last season, Spurs fans were probably a little disappointed with what they saw from Moura last season, but that could easily have been down to him taking time to adjust to how the Premier League works.

One of the biggest talking points this summer was that despite finishing in the top four last season and wanting to progress further, Tottenham didn't sign a single player during the transfer window. However, when you look at their team you could argue that a couple of players, Moura included, will feel like new signings now they have settled to life in the Premier League. What we saw from Moura last season was nothing near his best, but so far we have seen a completely different player this season, and that will be something that Spurs fans will be hoping continues going forward. If he can keep it up then he is yet another impressive attacking player that Tottenham have in their line up.

Tottenham 7/4 in Big Clash against Liverpool

The big game of the weekend when the Premier League returns is certainly the first game, where Tottenham take on Liverpool. Spurs are at home but despite that it is Liverpool that are favourites after starting with four wins from their first four games. Tottenham are 7/4 to win the game, while the bookmakers have priced Liverpool up at 11/8. The betting on this game may surprise people, as many would expect Tottenham to be favourites given that they are the home team. There is little to choose between these two and that may put many people towards the draw, which can be backed at 12/5. The first game of the weekend looks like being the best to tune in and watch, and we should get a very competitive game between two attacking teams.
