The transfer window continues to pose more questions rather than answers for Arsenal and now they have another problem to deal with, one that involves a player that is already at the club. The player is their captain too, which makes the situation worse, as Laurent Koscielny has refused to go with the club on their US tour as he looks to engineer a move away from the Emirates Stadium.

It has been reported that Koscielny has been unhappy for a while now, and although him and the team were negotiating a 12 month extension to his deal last season, that now appears to be dead in the water. He wants a move back to France and there are a number of clubs interested in him over there, including Bordeaux who have reportedly offered him a three year deal to play with them.

This is another blow for Arsenal and their fans, and it appears that the club are continuing their struggle of not been able to keep up with the other clubs in the top six. This news comes on the back of reports that they cannot afford to sign Wilfried Zaha, who was identified as their main transfer target this summer.

It appears as though Arsenal fans are set for more worrying times over the future of their club. Bringing players in is obviously important, but so is retaining those who are already at the club, and at the minute it appears as though they can't do either. The Gunners are priced up at 11/10 to finish inside the top four next season but unless things improve, that price is expected to grow as they move further behind the competition.
