Tottenham left it late last night, but eventually they found a way to score and a way to win against Brighton, who were desperately trying to hang onto the point they hoped to take away from the game. It wasn't the best game to watch for the neutrals, with Brighton playing a very defensive side and getting men behind the ball to protect their goal. It nearly paid off, but in the end the pressure from Tottenham told, and Christian Eriksen fired home the winner.

This was a game that had big implications at both ends of the table, with Tottenham looking to ensure their place in the top four, while Brighton are fighting Cardiff for the final relegation spot. This point that Brighton lost in the 88th minute could prove to be a crucial one for them, while the additional two gained by Tottenham is great news for their chances of the top four.

Tottenham dominated the game throughout, but failed to really create many chances of note. They are missing Harry Kane in attack, but despite that we should have seen more from them, and their inability to break down the Brighton back line was apparent. Brighton made it very tough, there is no doubt about that, but as a top side, Tottenham should have found a way through earlier, and wrapped the game up in a more comfortable fashion.

Up next for Tottenham is another home game, this time against London rivals West Ham on Saturday afternoon. They are the early kick off on Saturday, live on TV and Tottenham are strong favourites to win the game. Spurs are priced up at 42/100 to win the game, while West Ham are 6/1 to cause the shock and the draw is available for punters at 4/1
