A move that pretty much everyone saw coming has finally been confirmed as fully completed. Eden Hazard has finally signed for Real Madrid from Chelsea, ending the speculation that has surrounded the players and both clubs for months. This is one that was wrapped up quickly after the season, and a chance for Hazard to move to what is arguably the biggest club in the world to show off his skills moving forward.

The deal in place could end up seeing Madrid pay Chelsea in excess of £150 million, although there are many clauses and bonuses attached to that dependant on Hazard's own individual performance and that of Madrid as a team going forward. This is big money of course, but he has signed a five year deal and is expected to be the main piece of the puzzle at Madrid for those five seasons.

What next for Chelsea? Well, that will depend on the outcome of their current transfer embargo appeal. As it stands now, Chelsea cannot spend money to replace Hazard as they are not allowed to sign any players. Should that be lifted then they are sure to spend at least some of their income this summer as they look to try and replace their former star.

The quest for a return to the top begins now for Madrid, and that is both in Europe and at home in the league. They are priced up at 11/8 to win back the La Liga title off Barcelona next season, while winning back their Champions League title is something that punters can back at 7/1, making them the third favourites for the competition.
