It was all too easy for Manchester City as they landed the final domestic title on offer in what would be their final game of the season. Pep Guardiola's men won the final against Watford 6-0, with a hugely impressive performance to show us all just how dominant they are in English football right now. This was their third domestic trophy of the season, although Guardiola was quick to highlight that this may not be good enough for the club anymore.

After the game he highlighted the importance of competing better in Europe, and seemingly that will be his main focus next season. Of course he will want to defend the titles he has won in England, but he is right when he says that the fans want European success and only when that comes will they be seen as a real dominant force across the continent.

The game itself wasn't much of a spectacle, City were at their best and dominated things while Watford were seemingly in awe of the occasion and put up a pretty poor display. The City big guns came to the fore, with Raheem Sterling scoring twice and Kevin de Bruyne showing what we have been missing from him for most of this injury troubled season. It will take a brave man to go against them next season, in an competition they are featured in.

After winning the Premier League last weekend, things now reset over the summer and when we are back in August, City will have to start again in their quest for three titles in a row, as well as European success. The bookmakers clearly think another league title is likely, and they are already odds on to lift that, priced up at 8/13 to lift the 2019/20 Premier League trophy.
