Chelsea Continue Winning Start to Season with Europa League Victory
Chelsea have been very impressive so far this season and they added another win to their tally last night in the Europa League. They have won five out of five to begin their Premier League campaign and added a sixth win last night against Greek side PAOK. For a team that didn't have much of a summer together due to the World Cup, and also employed a new manager in that time, this has been nothing short of very impressive so far from The Blues.
We got an insight into the mind of Maurizio Sarri last night and how much he values the Europa League with the team he selected to play in Greece. He chose a number of first team players, as well as many fringe players to show he wants to take this tournament seriously. This is not a surprise, we have seen Sarri target the Europa League with other clubs he has managed, so Chelsea fans can expect to go a long way in this competition. He has spoken about how the competition may affect his team later on if Chelsea are still competing in the league, but for now, I think we can expect to see relatively strong lineups from Sarri in Europe's second-tier competition.
If there is one area of concern right now for Chelsea fans then it has to be the form of Alvaro Morata, a player who had a tough night again last night. Eventually, he was taken off and replaced by Olivier Giroud, a move I'm not too sure Sarri would have wanted to make with a Premier League game coming up on Thursday. However, for whatever reason, Morata continues to be a strange fit at Chelsea, and it will be interesting to see how he gets on over the coming weeks. I'm sure he will be given a chance in the Europa League again, but he has to start scoring.

On their return to domestic action, Chelsea travel to face London neighbours West Ham on Sunday afternoon. The Blues are 4/7 favourites to make it six from six in the Premier League, while West Ham, who won their first game of the season last weekend, are priced up at 9/2. A stalemate can be backed at 10/3 and this is going to be a tough test for West Ham with an in-form and talented Chelsea team coming to visit.
