Celtic Take Two Goal Lead Home From Sarajevo

Looking at the strength of their opponents, Tuesday night was as comfortable as it should have been for Celtic. However, a mixture of the game being right at the start of pre season, and being played in a tough environment both made it a tougher task than it needed to be. That didn't stop Celtic though, they were completely professional and left Bosnia with a vital 3-1 lead which pretty much seals their place in the next round, barring a miracle at Celtic Park.

The Bhoys were exactly what they needed to be on Tuesday, they used their superior skill to show Sarajevo they were the better team and blocked out the environment they were playing in with their professionalism. This was impressive stuff from Celtic as they look to grab a place in the Champions League group stage over the coming weeks.

The job isn't all over, but Celtic can already look forward to who they will be facing in the next round for me, they have already done enough.

This was the first round of qualifying for Europe's premier competition and the first of four two-legged games that Celtic will have to play if they are to make it through to the group stages. That is a long way off though, and boss Neil Lennon is likely to be telling his team to just take one game at a time and see where they end up.
