Celtic face Alashkert in the second leg of their Champions League Qaulifying game on Wednesday night and this looks set to be another very comfortable game for the Scottish side. They already have a three goal lead over their Armenian counterparts and will be able to extend that on home soil. There is no doubt that Celtic took things easy in the first leg, something they will do in the second leg too, but that won't be enough to stop them from winning comfortably yet again.

Celtica are one of a few teams in this stage of the competition that have a genuine chance to make the Champions League group stages and that will be their aim. They have dominated Scottish football for a number of years now, so much so that they are gauged on how well they do in Europe. Not qualifying for the Champions League group stages without a valid reason would mean their entire season was seen as somewhat of a failure.

Due to slipping down the rankings, Celtic have to negotiate and extra round of Champions League qualifying this season. The game against Alashkert is the first of four they will have to win if they want to make the group stages, which makes it an even tougher ask than normal. It also gives them an earlier start than they are used to, but Brendan Rodgers will certainly have his team ready for the test that lies ahead.

Celtic Huge Odds on to Beat Alashkert

The bookmakers see this game as a comfortable success for Celtic and they are priced up at 1/20 to pick up the win. Those looking at the game and wondering where to bet may look to the total goals market. Over 3.5 goals is priced up at evens, which means Celtic need to score just one more goal than they did in the first leg. With home advantage, a good crowd behind them and fitness built up after the game last week, it seems likely that Celtic could score more than the three they recorded last week.

Wednesday night looks like being another comfortable night in Europe for Celtic football club.
