On Tuesday night we saw the first two teams book their place in the Champions League semi finals. Barcelona took their spot thanks to a win over Manchester United, both on the night in the Nou Camp as well as overall in the tie. However, the second game was more of a shock, with Ajax going away to Juventus and recording a 2-1 win to take the game and book their place in the final four.

It was all too easy for Barcelona, who won 1-0 at Old Trafford last week and then followed that up with an easy 3-0 victory at home. When you compare the two sides on paper, Barcelona are a far better team and they certainly showed it across the two nights. Manchester United simply didn't have an answer for them, and it shows just how far The Red Devils are away from competing with the best in Europe.

So far this has been a fairy tale run for Ajax in the Champions League, and it is set to continue. We have seen them knock out Real Madrid and Juventus in their two knockout games so far, and anyone who saw the games will tell you it is fully deserved. They have been very impressive so far, especially away from home and they are quickly turning into a force to be reckoned with in Europe.

Barcelona have been installed as the 6/4 favourites to win the Champions League, while Ajax are the outsiders to win the competition at 4/1. Both teams qualified with good performances on Tuesday night, but Barcelona have vital European experience in their team, and look dialled in to make a big push to win this competition.
