It looks increasingly likely that Gareth Bale will be leaving Real Madrid this summer. The Spanish giants played their final game of the season on Sunday, a game in which they were beaten at home. Bale was on the bench, and it was expected that he would get some kind of cameo appearance to allow him to get a send off from the fans, although that didn't happen, boss Zinedine Zidane never brought him onto the field.

There is no doubt that Bale has found it tough in Spain, and his relationship has been far from ideal with both the club and the fans, however he has been there at very big moments for them. He's won three European titles with them, scoring in two and he has also been part of other domestic triumphs the club have had.

The rumour mill will now begin as to who can pick Bale up this summer, there will surely be teams interested in his signature. Most if not all of those are likely to be English clubs, and don't be surprised to see Manchester United lead the way, closely followed by Bale's old club Tottenham. They have a new stadium and a Champions League final to look forward to in a couple of weeks, a win there could entice Bale back home, where he would certainly be well received by the fans.

Despite links to Tottenham, Bale is odds on to sign for Manchester United this summer. He is priced up at 8/11 to join them, while he is available at 6/1 to sign for Tottenham. Those two appear to be the front runners, and it would be no surprise to see Bale play for someone in the Premier League next season, after his troubled time abroad.
