Arsenal Host Chelsea in London Derby on Saturday
Games between Arsenal and Chelsea are always very interesting affairs, and normally they have further significance due to the teams battling it out at the top of the table. This weekend is no different, Chelsea are currently in 4th position and in the top four, while Arsenal are in 5th behind them, on the outside looking in. The gap between these teams is six points, so Arsenal could really do with a win here to keep in touch. A win for Chelsea would open that gap to nine points, and make it incredibly difficult for Arsenal to peg them back.
These two teams have had very different fortunes over the Christmas period, Chelsea have won three and drawn one of their last four games, while Arsenal have managed to win just one game from their last four, which is why the six point gap between these teams has appeared. Both teams would like to be in the top four this season, although with new managers coming in over the summer, it isn't a necessity for them, especially Arsenal who are trying to take a longer term view when they are rebuilding their team.
However, despite that, you cannot disregard local bragging rights, and both teams will want to win this game because of that. We have seen some classic encounters over the years between these two, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see another one on Saturday. Both teams want the points, both like to attack and both will fancy their chances, everything is set up nicely for this one.
The big game takes place on Saturday evening at 5:30pm and although they are the away team in this one, Chelsea are the favourites to win the game with the bookmakers. You can back Chelsea at 13/10 to win the game, while Arsenal are available at 2/1 to take all three points and the draw, which wouldn't suit Arsenal, is available at 5/2 in what should be a very good and close game at The Emirates.
