Kyle Edmund vs Denis Istomin betting tips and odds

ATP Australian Open - R2

Kick-off: 00:00 midnight UK time

Kyle Edmund looked solid in this early part of the year, winning three of his four games on the hard surface. Edmund managed two consecutive wins over Shapovalov and Chung in the first two rounds of the Brisbane tournament before losing 2-1 in the quarter-finals against Grigor Dimitrov. However, Edmund kicked off the Australian Open 2018 with an impressive 2-3 victory against Kevin Anderson. Edmund has enjoyed a solid season on the hard surface last year and should feel confident ahead of this tie against Denis Istomin.

On the other hand, Denis Istomin has been in fine shape in the last three months towards the end of 2017. Istomin won the Chengdu tournament and then reached the Semi-finals in Tashkent where he lost 0-2 against Guillermo Garcia-Lopez. Istomin kicked off the new year in a similar manner, winning three of his four games on the hard surface. Istomin picked up back-to-back wins against Dzumhur and Donaldson in Brisbane before losing against Harrison in the quarter-finals. It must be said that Istomin has actually withdrawn from the Brisbane tournament due to an injury. However, Istomin kicked off the Australian Open with a comfortable 1-3 win against Herbert.

Denis Istomin has struggled with injuries of late, while Kyle Edmund looked solid against Anderson yesterday. We fancy Kyle Edmund to win here and to cover the Asian Handicap -4.5 games.

Betting predictions and tips: Asian Handicap -4.5 games on Kyle Edmund at odds 4/5 with William Hill

Belinda Bencic vs Luksika Kumkhum betting predictions and tips

WTA Australian Open - R2

Kick-off: 00:00 midnight UK time

Belinda Bencic have been one of the most in-form WTA players over the past three months. The Swiss player have won 23 of her last 25 games on the hard surface. Bencic have won back-to-back tournaments at Hua Hin, Taipei and Dubai towards the end of 2017. She looked excellent in this early part of 2018 as well, winning three of her four games at the Hopman Cup. During this run, she managed some impressive wins over Pavlyuchenkova and Coco Vandeweghe before losing against Angelique Kerber in the final match. Furthermore, Bencic kicked off the Aussie Open with a 0-2 victory over the last year’s Finalist Venus Williams.

Luksika Kumkhum has also been in fine shape over the past two months, winning eight of her last ten games on the hard surface. She has been involved in the qualifying process for the Australian Open and did well to beat the likes of Martincova, Jakupovic and Errani without dropping a single set. Furthermore, Kumkhum managed another 2-0 victory against Larsson in the first round of the Australian Open. Head-to-head, Kumkhum beat Bencic 2-0 on the hard surface at Tokyo five years ago, but lost 2-0 at Eastbourne on grass in 2014.

Belinda Bencic has been sensational over the past few months and she managed to beat strong players during this run. She looked much better than Kumkhum in this time and we fancy her to win in straight sets here.

Betting predictions and tips: Belinda Bencic to win 2-0 at odds 8/11 with William Hill

Marcos Baghdatis vs Andrey Rublev betting preview and tips

ATP Australian Open - R2

Kick-off: 00:00 midnight UK time

Marcos Baghdatis have struggled with injuries for the first half of 2017, but he looked much better in the second half. His form over the past five months has seen him win ten of the last 15 games on the hard surface. Baghdatis started the new year in a perfect manner, winning all of his three games. He picked up wins over Tiafoe and Anderson in two exhibition games and followed this up with a comfortable 3-0 victory against Bhambri in the first round of the Australian Open.

Andrey Rublev, on the other hand, has been incredibly solid in this early part of 2018, winning seven of his nine games on the hard surface. Rublev managed to reach the final at Doha recently, but suffered a thrashing 6-2, 6-3 loss at the hands of Gael Monfils. However, Rublev bounced back with a 2-1 win against Pouille in an exhibition match at Kooyong and then beat David Ferrer 2-3 in the opening round of the Australian Open.

It’s difficult to separate these two players at the moment as both have enjoyed a strong run of form of late. We expect an entertaining affair with more than three sets.

Betting predictions and tips: Over 36.5 games at odds 5/6 with William Hill
